Step 2 – analyze | identify | define

Step 2 – analyze | identify | define

With the proper research done we can analyze.

Analyzing helps to find problems, which we then identify.

After the problems have been identified, we define them.

Analyze

Once we have finished our research and talk about the discoveries, we are then armed with the sufficient information to help us better analyze.

The reason we want to analyze is to help us identify all the problems now. This helps to save time and ultimately avoid the same or similar problems from occurring. It is also the only way to find solutions.

This also helps you to be more certain in your choices and decisions. The more certain we are in our direction the more precise we can be in our application.

Identify

It is one thing just to analyze but without proper studying of the analysis it fails in its effectiveness.

This is why we identify.

Identification helps us to organize and narrow down the problems and their various causes. This helps in creating solutions.

With the proper identification it, once again, saves time and creates a more efficient and results-oriented process.

Oftentimes, problems are various or have unseen variables. This step helps to break it all down and make it more understandable.

This helps to define and then, ultimately, come to the best simplest solution possible.

Define

It is one thing to identify the problems, it is another to understand them.

When we define, we take a deeper look at the problems and this this helps us understand their cause.

The definition, ultimately, helps us write the solution. The solutions are what we are focused on.

The define stage helps us to think of the design and the business cohesively, as opposed to just creating a design. We take a more psychological and business-oriented approach to our design. We also prefer incorporating the clients business-style, plan, mission, analysis and demographics into consideration.

The solution is often a correlation of a few different areas and not just special, brilliant design. This process helps to ensure we make the right decisions and see the whole picture and not get blinded by gimmicks.

Good design is not just about flashy things. It is, ultimately, about understanding the full scope of the project; its correlation across all mediums; how consumers, clients, and the public see things; modern trends and doing the best a design agency or artist can in order for their client to succeed.

It is also imperative to not get blinded with the desire to avoid certain things and to maintain an unbiased, open mind in all regards. If a flashy design or an artsy non commerce design is the right solution, then that is what should be chosen.

Step 3 – imagine | plan | visualize

Step 4 – create | design | develop

Step 5 – test | evaluate | improve

Step 6 – decide | deliver | launch
